BIO:
Born and raised in the Detroit area, songwriter/musician, Mark Mansueto, has been creating and recording original music ever since he bought his first Teac 4-track reel-to-reel recorder. The music is a mix of influences ranging from Rock, Jazz, Blues, Reggae and Country. Early influences were The Beatles and Stones before being drawn to Progressive Rock and Jazz. He began dabbling with guitar at age 10 when his dad bought him an acoustic guitar and he bought his first electric guitar when he turned 16. Soon after, he enrolled in lessons from a jazz teacher and it wasn't long before the two became close friends and traded music gear frequently. One of those exchanges resulted in Mark acquiring his first lap steel guitar of which he has become known for.
Mark performed locally as lead singer/guitarist with various rock cover bands but his passion for writing songs and recording slowly diminished the time he spent playing live as he spent more and more time in the studio. When the pandemic struck in 2020 and people were languishing indoors, Mark used the time to record new music that he began to release in 2022. The first was an EP titled "One Clear Night" followed by a second EP in 2023 titled "Power Lines."
